Section 6: Lubrication 

All 147C Grain Drill are completely serviced at the factory before shipping.  However, the operator should make a 

check of all grease fittings on the unit before beginning to operate it so as to become familiar with their location and the 

correct service schedule.

Use only a high quality, multi-purpose grease when lubricating the unit.  Make sure all fittings and the nozzle of the 

grease applicator are clean before applying the grease.  If any grease fittings are missing, replace them immediately.

Lubricating of all pillow block and flange-type self-aligning ball or roller bearings should be done slowly to help 

prevent bearing seal damage.  Use caution when using a high pressure, high volume gun.
