Replacing bulbs
Before replacing a burnt-out bulb, make sure that the new
one complies with voltage and wattage as specified on the
Electric System for that lighting device (page 75). Always test
the new lamp before refitting the parts you have removed.
Headlight
To gain access to headlamp bulbs you will need to work
behind the headlamp fairing.
Remove connector (1, fig. 54) from the bulb.
Pull the tab (A) to remove the protective cap.
Release the clip (2, fig. 55) that holds the bulb in place and
take the bulb out of its socket. Fit a new bulb.
Note
Be careful to hold the new bulb at the base only. Never
touch the transparent body with your fingers or it will blacken
resulting in reduced bulb brilliancy.
