Checking the engine oil level

Check the engine oil level through the sight glass (1) on
the clutch cover on the right hand side of the engine.
When checking oil level, the motorcycle should be upright
and the engine cold. Oil level should be between the
marks next to the sight glass. Top up oil level with
SHELL Advance Ultra 4, if low. Undo the filler plug (2)
and top up to correct level. Replace the filler cap.
Important
Engine oil and oil filters must be changed by a
Ducati Dealer or Authorized Workshop at regular intervals,
as specified in the routine maintenance chart (see
Warranty Card).
Oil viscosity
SAE 15W-50
The other viscosity degrees indicated in the table can
be used if the local average temperature is within the
limits specified for that oil viscosity.
