Moving settings from one unit to another
After exchanging one XD10P with another, you may download (restore) settings in one of two ways:
o
Download settings from a saved file on your computer.
o
Download settings stored on the Memory Module to the flash DSP on the Control Module.
When changing a Control Module board, it easiest to move the memory module from the old board to
new:
1. Turn off power to the XD10P.
2. Replace the control module board.
3. Move the memory module from the old board to the new board.

4. On the new board, set the write protect switch to OFF (to the right).
5. Load the memory module into the new board by pressing down and holding the

button
while powering on the XD10P. Continue to hold down the
RESTORE
button until the front panel
LEDs and level indicator fully boot.

button.
7. Retain the memory module in the new board. (
Do not remove it.
)
8. Turn ON the write protect switch (to the left) and leave it in the ON (left) position. When write
protection is ON, the LED next to the toggle switch will light.
9. Your B-chain adjustments should now be transferred to the new board. You will still need to
make A-chain adjustments. (See 3.4
Preamp Calibration (A-Chain or Optical Setup)
, page 3-3.)
