4.2  REMOVING THE LOWER UNIT

Make sure the valve cap is removed and the air is completely released (see “4.1 Releasing The Air“ on 

page 8

).

Screw in the screw on the spring side clockwise into the lower unit using the tool 

FXTXXXXXXXXXX018482S.

Screw in the screw on the damping side clockwise into the lower unit using the tool 

FXTXXXXXXXXXX018482S.

 

→ After the screws have been screwed in, about 20 ml of oil runs out of both dropouts. Collect the 

leaking oil using a suitable container.

4. 

Carefully remove lower unit.

5. 

Collect the leaking oil using a suitable container.
