System Setup
Tips:
You can switch to the other mode by pressing and holding button for 2
seconds when off-hook, without the need of entering the configuration mode. You
can judge your current mode by the appearance of @ sign. The temporary switch
does not change the settings on IP870.
Note:
In
OFF
mode, you won't see the @ sign shown on the LCD even though you are
connected to the Internet. In
ON
mode, you can see a steady @ sign shown on the LCD
screen.

With
OPEN TO PUBLIC
displayed, press
to edit.
2.
This option allows you to be visible or
invisible from remote parties on the Internet.
In either
ON
or
OFF
mode, you can initiate
Internet phone calls. In
OFF
mode, you will
not be reached by your Device ID. However
you could still be reached by IP address. Use
the keypad or buttons on IP870 to select the
setting. The default setting is
ON
.

Press to save and exit edit mode.
