The lamp may only be set up with a minimum distance of 20 cm
from
fl
ammable materials such as curtains, etc.
■
Never immerse the product in water or other liquids! Ensure that
the lamp, cable, or plug do not fall into water or become wet.
■
Should the product fall into water, switch off the power supply
immediately.
■
Never touch the base station, the cable or the plug with wet
hands.
■
The product may only be operated with the included power
supply unit. Do not use the mains adapter with other products.
■
Only connect the mains adapter to a socket that has been
properly installed. The socket must also be readily accessible
after connection. The mains voltage must match the technical
data for the mains adapter (see the “Technical Data” chapter).
■
Position the cable in such a way that it does not become
squashed or bent and does not come into contact with hot sur-
faces.
■
Remove the mains adapter from the plug socket:
–
if you do not use the lamp over a lengthy period of time,
–
if a fault occurs while the product is in operation,
–
before a thunderstorm,
–
before you clean the lamp.
■
When you want to remove the mains adapter from the plug
socket, always pull the plug and never the cable.
■
Check the lamp for damage each time before you use it. If the
lamp, cable or the mains adapter shows visible signs of dam-
age, the lamp must not be used.
■
If the lamp, cable or the mains adapter is defective, do not try
to repair it yourself. Have any repairs done only by a specialist
workshop or the customer service department.
Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Product
■
Do not drop the product or subject it to severe impact.
■
Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures, wide tem-
perature

uctuations, or moisture.

Putting Into Operation
1. Unpack all parts and check the items supplied for complete-
ness (see the “Items Supplied and Product Overview” chapter)
and transport damage. Remove all
fi
lms and stickers that may
be present. If the product is damaged, do not use it (!), but
contact our customer service department.
2. Depending on the purpose of use, insert the
fi
xing clamp into
the base, or compress it in order to withdraw the lamp from the
base again.
3. If you wish to use the lamp as a
standing lamp,
you should
position it in such a way that it cannot topple over. If you wish
to use it as a
clip-on lamp,
clamp it
fi
rmly onto the edge of a
table, for example, so that it cannot fall.
4. Use the
fl
exible arm to adjust the lamp head to the position
you want.
5. Insert the jack plug of the mains adapter into the socket on the
lamp.
6. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed mains socket that
is easily accessible.
7. You can now switch the lamp on and off using the On/Off
switch.
Cleaning and Storage
ATTENTION!
■
Remove the mains plug from the plug socket before cleaning
the device!
■
Always allow the lamp to cool down completely before you
clean it or store it away.
■
Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning
pads for cleaning. These can damage the surface.
• Clean the lamp if necessary using a soft, dry cloth.
• Store the lamp in a dry, clean place that is not accessible to
children.
