Clean the article with a slightly damp, soft cloth and, if neces-
sary, a little mild cleaning agent. Do not use any corrosive or
abrasive cleaning agents to clean the article. These can dam-
age the surface. No liquid must be allowed to enter the article
during cleaning.

Store the article in a dry, clean place that is protected from
direct sunlight and is inaccessible to animals and children.

tery of the E-block type.
Before Initial Use
1. Take the article out of the packaging and check it for transport
damage. If you fi nd any damage to the article, do not use it (!),
but contact our customer service department.
2. Screw the head with alarm unit (

) onto the narrow end of the
telescopic rod (

).
3. Screw the adjusting foot (
6
) onto the wide end of the telescopic
rod (
7
).
4. Insert a battery (see below).
Inserting Battery
1. Slide the battery compartment cover off the article and remove
it.
2. Connect and insert a 9 V battery of the E-block type into the
battery compartment (
8
). Pay attention to the correct polar-
ity (+ / –).
3. Reinsert the battery compartment cover and slide it shut.
Use
The article has a touch sensor (
1
). This responds when the handle
under which the article has been clamped is touched (even on
the other side of the door). The touch sensor (
1
) only responds on
metal handles.
1. Adjust the telescopic rod (
7
) to the approximate height of the
door handle. To do this, fully depress the locking lug, pull the
telescopic rod (
7
) out or push it down to the length you want
and then engage the locking lug again.
2. Move the article from below up to a door handle and clamp
it in place between the door handle and the fl oor. Push the
adjusting foot (
4
) towards the door until it is wedged in place.
ATTENTION!
Do not wedge the article too tightly between the
door handle and the fl oor. The article must stand on its own but
also be capable of being removed again easily.
Make sure that the touch sensor (

) fi ts correctly. It
must
be
in contact with the door handle!
3. Move the alarm switch (
9
) to
ALARM
or
HUND
(dog) as you
wish. The alarm is now activated. It is triggered when someone
approaches the metal handle or touches it. The alarm goes off
again when the metal handle is let go of.
4. Move the alarm switch (
9
) to the
AUS
(off)
position to deacti-
vate the alarm function.

Disposal
The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the
packaging in an environmentally friendly manner and take
it to a recycling centre.
Dispose of the article in an environmentally friendly man-
ner. It should not be disposed of in the normal household
waste. Dispose of the article at a recycling centre for used
electrical and electronic devices. More information is avail-
able from your local authorities.
The battery should be removed prior to disposal of the ar-
ticle and disposed of separately from the article. To pro-
tect the environment, non-rechargeable and rechargeable
batteries may not be disposed of with normal household
waste, but must be taken to suitable collection points. Also
note the relevant statutory regulations governing the dis-
posal of batteries.
