Proper use / warranty
• The hanging basket with solar hummingbirds is designed to dec-
orate indoor and outdoor areas. The storage battery of the solar
unit charges during the daytime via the solar cell
fi
eld. The accumu-
lated energy allows the LED lights to illuminate at night.
• The product is designed for private use and is not intended for
commercial use. Only use the product as instructed. Any other use
is deemed improper. Store the instructions in a safe place.
• Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts at
repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to normal
wear and tear.

Do not disassemble the product (except for removing the storage
battery prior to disposal of the solar unit). Only have the product

If a storage battery has leaked, ensure that the battery acid
does not come into contact with your skin, eyes, and mucous
membranes. In case of contact with battery acid, rinse the affected
areas immediately with plenty of clean water and seek immediate
medical attention.

Storage batteries may not be disassembled, disposed of in

re,
immersed in liquids or short circuited.

Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to severe
percussions.

Do not use the product if it exhibits visible damages.

Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! It is only
splash-proof.

We recommend to hang the basket in a place that is protected
from the wind and rain.

To enable an automatic activation of the LED light the article may
not be situated near other light sources such as street lamps or
other lamps.

If you do not intend to use the product for a prolonged period of
time, turn off the solar unit and store the product in a dry place.

Ensure that the solar

greatest possible collection of light. Therefore, clean it occasionally
with a damp cloth.
Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning
products to clean the product!

Activation and deactivation
A sliding switch is located on the bottom side of the solar unit. To
activate the product, push it to position
ON.
To deactivate it, push
the sliding switch to position
OFF.
Start-up
The solar unit’s storage battery must charge for approxi-
mately 6 to 8 hours in order for the LED lights to illuminate.
1. Unpack the product contents and remove all protective wrappers
(e.g. from the solar
fi
eld) and stickers, if present. Check all parts
for possible transport damages. Should you identify any transport
damages, please promptly consult customer service.
2. Activate the solar unit.
3. Locate the hanging basket in a place where the solar
fi
eld is ex-
posed to as much direct sunlight as possible for the entire day. We
recommend to hang the basket in a place that is protected from
the wind and rain.
Sunlight will now charge the storage battery of the solar unit. At dusk,
the LED lights in the hummingbirds will automatically turn on. At
dawn, the LED lights turn off and the storage battery recharges via
the solar
fi
eld.
Disposal
The packaging material can be recycled. Dispose of the packag-
ing in an environmentally-friendly manner and make it available
for the recyclable material collection-service.

The product does not belong in the household garbage. Dis-
pose of it at a recycling centre for old electrical and electronic
appliances. For more information, please contact the adminis-
tration in your community.
Batteries and storage batteries must be removed and disposed
of separately before disposing of the product. To protect the
environment, batteries and storage batteries may not be dis-
posed of together with normal household waste. Instead they
must be turned in at collection points. Be sure to observe appli-
cable legal regulations on battery disposal.
Removing the storage battery
Loosen the screws of the solar unit. Afterwards, you can carefully
remove the storage battery.
