The product is exclusively designed for decorative purposes
and is therefore

a toy! Keep small children and animals
away from the product. Children ages 3 and over may only
use the product if they are supervised by an adult.

The product is designed for private use and is not intended
for commercial use. Only use the product for the intended
purpose and only as described in the instructions. Any other
use is deemed improper.

The product is not suitable for outdoor use.
❐
Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or at-
tempts at repair are excluded from the warranty. This also
applies to normal wear and tear.
❐
Risk of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from
children and animals.
❐
Batteries may be life threatening if swallowed. Therefore
keep the batteries and product out of the reach of children
and animals. If a battery has been swallowed, you must seek
immediate medical attention.

The batteries may not be inserted/changed by children.
❐
Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in
the battery compartment and on the batteries are clean and,
if necessary, clean them.
❐
Only use the battery type speci

ed in the technical data.

Always replace all batteries. Do not use different battery
types, brands or batteries of different capacitances. When
changing batteries ensure correct polarity (+/-).
❐
Remove the batteries from the battery compartment if they
are empty or if you are not using the product. This way, you
can avoid damages attributed to leaking.
❐
If a battery has leaked, avoid contact between your skin, eyes
and mucous membranes and the battery acid. In the event
of contact with the battery acid, rinse the affected areas in-
stantly with plenty of clean water and immediately consult a
physician.
❐
Immediately remove a leaky battery from the battery compart-
ment and clean the contacts before inserting a new battery.
❐
The batteries may not be charged or reactivated with other
means and they may not be disassembled, thrown in a
fi
re,
submerged in a liquid or short-circuited.
❐
Turn off the product when you are not using it or before you
open the battery compartment.
❐
Do not subject the product to extreme temperatures, severe
changes in temperature, moisture or direct sunlight.
❐
Maintain adequate distance to candles,
fi
replaces, stovetops
or other
fi
re and heat sources.
❐
Ensure that the product cannot fall into water.
❐
If the product is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself.
In the event of damage, contact the customer service depart-
ment.

When needed, wipe the product off with a dust cloth.

Before
fi
rst use / Inserting batteries
1. Unpack the product. Check that the product contents are
complete and that they do not exhibit any transport damag-
es. Should you identify any transport damages, do not use
the product (!), instead please promptly consult the customer
service. Hold onto the packaging to store the product when
not in use.
2. The battery compartment is located in Santa’s sack. Pull it
out. Loosen the screw of the battery compartment cover us-
ing a small star-headed screwdriver and remove the cover.
3. Insert 3 1.5 V batteries (type AA) in the battery compartment.
In the process, make sure that the polarity is correct (+/–).
NOTICE:
Preferably use powerful alkaline batteries rather
than rechargeable batteries.
4. Place the battery compartment cover back in place and screw
it down.
Change the batteries when you notice a drop in power.
Activation and deactivation
1. The On/Off switch is located on the battery compartment.
Move the switch to the
ON
position in order to turn Santa
Claus on.
Thereupon, a Christmas tune will be played.
2. Put the battery compartment into the sack again.
3. There is a hanger on the wreath. Hang it on a stable holder at
a location of your choice.
4. As soon as the melody is over, Santa Claus switches to
stand-by mode. Clap your hands to re-start the tune.
5. Turn the product off if you no longer use it. Move the switch
to the position
OFF
.

Disposal
The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the
packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner and
make it available to the collection service for recyclable
materials.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly
manner. The product does not belong in the household
garbage. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old elec-
tric and electronic equipment. For more information,
please contact the administration in your community.
Batteries must be removed and disposed of separately
before disposing of the product. To protect the environ-
ment, batteries and rechargeable batteries may not be
disposed of together with normal household waste. In-
stead they must be turned in at appropriate collection
points. Please also observe applicable statutory provi-
sions regulating the disposal of batteries.
