Before using the article for the

rst time, please read the instruc-
tions through carefully and keep them for future reference. If the
article is given to someone else, it should always be accompanied
by these instructions.

Intended Use
• The breakdown fan is suitable for providing an additional indi-
cation of a current accident or breakdown situation in order to
minimise a potential hazard to you and others.
•
The breakdown fan is not a substitute for the warning tri-
angle and the high-visibility vest!
• The article must
not
be placed on the car when it is being
moved (driven, rolled, towed away).
• The article is designed for personal use only and is not intend-
ed for commercial applications.
• Use the article only as described in the instructions. Any other
use is deemed to be improper.
• The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects
caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised at-
tempts at repair. This also applies to the normal wear and tear
of the individual components.

The article is

a toy! Store it out of the reach of children and
animals!

Do not endanger either yourself or other people when assem-
bling the article! Always remain on the side of the car away from
the road.

Keep the article away from heat sources (ovens,
fi
re etc.).
■
As required, clean the article with a soft, slightly damp cloth and
some mild cleaning agent.
■
Always check the article for damage before putting it into op-
eration. The article must not be used if it shows obvious signs
of damage. In this case, contact the customer service depart-
ment.

• 1 breakdown fan with 5 signs
• 2 feet with suction pads
• 1 Velcro strap
Before Initial Use
Unpack all parts and check the items supplied to make sure they
are complete (see the "Items Supplied" chapter); also check for
transport damage. If you
fi
nd any damage to the components, do
not use them (!); instead, contact our customer service department.
Use
CAUTION
■
First secure the accident or breakdown site!
■
The breakdown fan is
not
a substitute for the warning triangle
and the high-visibility vest!
■
When setting up the article, always remain on the side of your
car that is away from the road so that you do not place yourself
or other people in danger!
1. Twist the feet to a better position so that they are transverse to
the breakdown fan.
2. Use the suction pads to attach the article to the roof of your car
in such a way that the signs can be read from the road.
3. Undo the Velcro fastener.
4. Open up the sign you want, facing towards the road.
5. Place the Velcro strap around the steering wheel. It will remind
you not to forget about and leave the breakdown fan on the roof
of your car when you are able to continue your journey or are
towed away.
6. To remove the breakdown fan again,
–
fold in the sign that was used,
–
attach the Velcro fastener,
–
release the suction pads from the car roof,
–
twist the feet so that they form a line with the breakdown fan.
7. Store away the article in a dry place in your car that is protected
from sunlight and is out of the reach of children and animals,
ideally together with your warning triangle.
Disposal
The packaging material is recyclable. Please dispose of it
in an environmentally friendly manner and take it to a re-
cycling centre. Dispose of the article in an environmentally
friendly manner as well.
