Proper use / warranty
• The product is designed for decorative purposes in indoor and
outdoor areas.
• The thermometer is also suitable for measuring the outdoor tem-
perature. The scale features an indication in degrees Fahrenheit
(F) and degrees Celsius (C).
• The product is designed for private use and is not intended for
commercial use. Only use the product as instructed. Any other
use is deemed improper. Store the instructions in a safe place.
• Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts
at repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to
normal wear and tear.

Attention! Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material
away from children and animals.

The product is not a toy! Keep children and animals away from
the product to avoid injury.
❐
Batteries may be life threatening if swallowed. Therefore keep
the batteries and the product out of the reach of children. If a
battery has been swallowed, you must seek immediate medical
attention.

Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in the
battery compartments and on the batteries are clean and, if nec-
essary, clean them.

Only use the battery type speci

ed in the technical data (see
section “Technical data”).

Always replace all batteries. Do not use different battery types,
brands or batteries of different capacitances. When changing
batteries ensure correct polarity (+/-).

Remove the batteries from the battery compartment if they are
empty or if you are not using the product for an extended period.
This way, you can avoid damages attributed to leaking.

If a battery has leaked, avoid contact between your skin, eyes
and mucous membranes and the battery acid. In the event of
contact with the battery acid, rinse the affected areas instantly
with plenty of clean water and immediately consult a physician.

Immediately remove any leaking batteries from the battery com-
partment. Clean the contacts before you insert a new battery.
❐
The batteries may not be charged or reactivated with other
means and they may not be disassembled, thrown in a
fi
re, sub-
merged in a liquid or short-circuited.

Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to severe
percussions.
❐
Never submerge the product in water or other liquids!
❐
We recommend that you hang the product up in a place that is
not exposed to wind and rain.
❐
Use suitable mounting materials to hang up the product (e.g. a
screw and a dowel).
❐
Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures, direct sun-
light, severe changes in temperature or moisture.
❐
In the event of extreme weather conditions (e.g. storm, hail) or
if you do not intend to use the product for a prolonged period of
time, store it in a dry place.

Before

rst use
1. Unpack the product contents and remove any protective foils and
stickers. Check all parts for any damages from transport. Should
you identify any transport damages, please promptly consult
customer service.
2. Insert a 1.5 volt battery of type AA in the clock (see section “Insert-
ing/changing the battery”). It is not included in the product contents.
3. Set the time (see section “Setting the time”).
4. Hang the product up in a place that is not exposed to wind and rain.
Wall mounting material is not included in the product contents. The
type of mounting material depends on the composition of your wall.
Use suitable mounting material to hang up the product (screws,
dowels etc.). You can obtain more information in a quali
fi
ed outlet.
5. Hang the bowl with the coconut mat on the hooks of the frame.
6. Decorate the bowl as desired. Please note: If you would like to
plant the bowl with the coconut mat inserted, the wall and the
surface underneath the bowl must be insensitive to moisture!
Inserting/changing the battery
1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the clock by pulling
the cover off.
2. Insert a 1.5 V battery of type AA in the battery compartment.
3. When you insert the battery, make sure the polarity is correct
(+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment by mounting the cover.
Setting the time
1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the clock by pulling
the cover off.
2. You can move the clock minute hand forward or backward by
turning the knurl to the left or to the right.
3. Close the battery compartment.

Disposal
The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pack-
aging in an environmentally-friendly manner and make it
available to the collection service for recyclable materials.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly man-
ner. The product does not belong in the household garbage.
Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electric and elec-
tronic equipment. For more information, please contact the
administration in your community.
Batteries and storage batteries must be removed and dis-
posed of separately before disposing of the product. To protect
the environment, batteries and storage batteries may not be
disposed of together with normal household waste. Instead
they must be turned in at appropriate collection points. Be sure
to observe applicable legal regulations on battery disposal.
