Digital thermometer LDT 30 and LDT 31

General
Thermometer types
and
are ba ery-operated resistance thermometers with a
LDT 30
LDT 31
digital display. This device series is designed for autonomous operaon.
The
series is equipped with a rigid sensor and is therefore used directly at the measuring point.
LDT 30
Various process connecons are possible depending on the design of the temperature sensor.
The
series has a flexible cable for connecng the thermometer to the temperature sensor.
LDT 31
This allows the meter to be installed independently of the measuring point. To facilitate installaon,
the cable can be disconnected from the device at the plug connecon. Here, too, different process
connecons are possible depending on the design of the temperature sensor.
1.0 Installaon and commissioning
The temperature measuring point must be prepared according to the specificaons for thread
ports. Further informaon can be found on e.g. page 3 of VDE/VDI Guidelines 3511 and 3512.
Gaskets according to DIN 7603A are suitable for sealing. The correct ghtening torque depends
on the material and shape of the gasket used as well as on the type and size of connecon screw.
We recommend that the installaon locaon be chosen so as to be as free as possible from vibra-
ons and thermal radiaon. For safe operaon, an ambient temperature of -10...0...+60°C must
be maintained.
The user must ensure that the process connecon and the display area meet the measuring point
requirements. The design of the temperature sensors is based on EN13190. We recommend the
use of a thermowell according to DIN 43772. With thermometer type
, the connecon cable
LDT 31
of the temperature sensor must not be laid over sharp edges and there must be no risk of crush -
ing the connecon cable. In addion, the connecon cable should not be installed under tensile
stress. Damage to the cable can lead to the malfuncon of the thermometer.
Cauon! Only use suitable tools for assembly.
2.0 Power supply
The thermometer is delivered ready for use and is equipped with a size AA 3.6 V lithium ba ery.
The ba ery has a service life of approx. 5 - 7 years, depending on the applicaon and ambient
condions.
3.0 Maintenance
The thermometer described here is maintenance-free. Depending on operang condions, the
thermometer should be regularly checked for compliance with its specificaons. Repairs must be
carried out exclusively in the manufacturer's factory.
3.1 Cleaning
Do not use solvent-containing cleaners to clean the device.
