Lens preparation
The lenses must be equipped with special rubber gears.
3.1
Lens selection
Physical there are limitation to the minimum and maximum diameter with our
default gears.
3.1.1
Diameter limitation
If the lens is very small, the moveable gear of the motor drive cannot reach the
main gear. A custom gear can fix this limitation.
If the lens is to large it will block the motor. A custom plate can fix this
limitation.
Both working diameters can be found in the lens dimensions table.
3.1.2
Distance limitation
The motor position can be adjusted to reach the iris, focus or zoom position.
Depending of the used camera the minimum and maximum length is defined
in the lens dimensions table.

Environmental Conditions
To prevent high lens torques (e.g. due to cold temperatures that harden the
grease inside the lens-mechanics) use only lenses according to their respective
temperature range (lens-spec).
