A.C. CURRENT MEASUREMENT
WARNING:
MAKE CERTAIN THAT ALL TEST LEADS ARE DISCONNECTED FROM INSTRUMENT
TERMINALS.
1. Set the range selector switch to the highest 600A range position.
2. Press the trigger to open the transformer jaws and clamp on to one conductor
only (Fig.1). Take the current reading directly. It is recommended that the
conductor be placed at the centre of the closed jaws for maximum accuracy.
3. When the reading is lower than 200A, set the range selector switch to the 200A
range position.
A.C. VOLTAGE MEASUREMENT
1. Set the range selector switch to the A.C. 600V range position. Insert the red test
lead into the V/
Ω
terminal of the instrument and black test lead into the COM
terminal.
2. Connect the probe tips to the circuit under test and take the voltage reading
directly.
D.C. VOLTAGE MEASUREMENT
1. Set the range selector switch to the D.C. 600V range position. Insert the red test
lead into the V/
Ω
terminal of the instrument and black test lead into the COM
terminal.
2. Connect the probe tips to the circuit under test and take the voltage reading
directly.
