Notes 

 

 

1. XEXT1 and/or XEXT2 can be used 

for connection of non-intrinsically 
safe equipment via Z-barriers. As 
an example the wiring diagram 
shows a connetion to XEXT2. 
 

2.  Series switching of the types 

Fuchs Z757

 with 

Pep-

perl+Fuchs Z966H

 (BAS 01 ATEX 

7005 and IECEx S06.0012 xx) is 
permitted as shown in the following 
diagrams.

: Use connection XEXT1 

either for charging (pin 4,5) outside 
the hazardous area or the RS485

1.

Caution:

Only connect galvanically isolated, intrinsically safe electric 

circuits of protection type Ex ia IIC with linear output characteristics 
that meet the safety parameters of AAC 03**.
All of the 4 circuits must be infallibly isolated from each other.

Caution:

Operation with an intrinsically safe power supply to XEXT3 

is only permitted without simultaneous inductive charg-ing, or 
simultaneous power charging via the XEXT1 connection.

Live maintainance is not permitted in Zone 0 areas.
