PCV(S) – Pressure Controlled Ventilation
Synchronized
Druckkontrollierte, zeitgesteuerte Beat-
mung(wie PCV), bei der der Patient
jedoch synchronisiert mit seiner Inspira-
tion vorzeitig einen Atemhub auslösen
und damit eine Erhöhung der Atemfre-
quenz herbeiführen kann.
Die Inspirationszeit ist durch die Einstel-
lung vorgegeben, jedoch auf maximal
2 Sekunden begrenzt.
PCV(S) unterscheidet sich zu PCV durch
die Synchronisation auf die Inspiration
des Patienten.

ventilation.
PCV(S) – Pressure Controlled Ventilation
Synchronized
Pressure-controlled and time-cycled
ventilation (like PCV) in which the patient
can trigger an early ventilation stroke in
synchrony with spontaneous inspiration,
thereby increasing the ventilation
frequency.
The inspiration time is predetermined by
the setting and limited to not more than
2 seconds.
PCV(S) differs from PCV in that
ventilation is synchronized to the patient’s
inspiration.
To switch between PCV and PCV(S),
activate or inactivate the trigger Trigg. I,
see page 22.
