The next 3 sections of this manual will walk you through some of the most common tasks for using the
BVM 48. You will learn how to send email notifications and SNMP traps to your alarm master- all using
the Web browser. For details on entering your settings into each Web browser menu, the section "Edit
Menu Field Descriptions."
How to Send Email Notifications

1. Click on the
System
button in the
Edit
menu and enter a valid email address in the
"From" Email
Address
field. (You may need to check with your IT department to have one created for the unit.) This is
the address that will appear in your email as the sender.

2. Click on the
Notifications
button in the
Edit
menu. You can setup as many as 8 different
notifications. Begin the setup "wizard" by clicking on a notification number. In this example, we'll setup
Notification 1 to send emails.
