Replacement of the inhalation valve
Remove the inhalation valve from its seat. Check that the valve seat is clean
and undamaged and, if necessary, clean it. Hook the new inhalation valve to
the seat.
12.3
Replacement of the exhalation valve assembly
Remove the cover of the exhalation valve assembly and detach the assembly
from the mask. Check that the groove of the valve assembly and the edge of
the mask are clean and undamaged. Clean, if necessary. Hook the faceblank to
the groove of the exhalation valve assembly. Check the correct position and put
the cover back.
12.4
Replacement of the exhalation valve
Remove the cover of the exhalation valve assembly. Pull the valve out of its seat
with your thumb and index fingers. Make sure that the valve housing and seat
are clean and undamaged and, if necessary, clean them. Insert the valve stem in
the central hole of the seat and pull it strongly from the inside of the facepiece.
Put the cover back.
12.5
Replacement of the filter
Gas filter should be replaced with new appropriate gas filters at the least when
the user begins to smell or taste the contaminant inside the mask. Ensure that
the new filters are screwed tightly onto the halfmask thread connectors.
The half mask Polimask 100/2 e Polimask 2000 β must always be used with two
filters of the same type which must be replaced together, even if unused.
Remarks: gas filters attached to the respirators and kept in the open for several
days must be replaced, even if unused.
