10.1.2. Password Settings

The password is the configuration access password. To modify the password 

you must enter the current password in the ‘Current Password’ field, in the 

two remaining fields enter the new password and  press the ‘Update Password’ 

��tton. T�e c��n��e ���� �e ����e on�� �� t�e c���ent �����o��� �� co��ect �n�� t�e 

‘New Password’ and ‘Confirm New Password’ fields contain the same value.

configuration pages or via Telnet, no reboot of the GW7001 is necessary.

10.1.3. Firmware Settings

WARNING: care should be taken using this command, it is reserved to 

advanced users only as it can make your GW7001 inoperative.

The GW7001 firmware update uses a TFTP/FTP client which will download 

the new firmware from a TFTP/FTP server. If the download is correct 

GW7001 writes the new firmware in the flash memory. The required parameters 

��e t�e t��e o� �e��e� (`Se��e� T��e��), �e��e� ��� ������e�� (`Se��e� �����) �n�� t�e 

name of the firmware file on the server. The firmware file must be in the root 

����ecto�� o� t�e TFT��/FT�� �e��e�. T�e ��e����t G�7001 �o���n/�����o��� �� 

����oo��one��/����oo��one��, ��en ��o�n�o����n�� ��o� � FT�� �e��e�.

A Reboot is necessary after a firmware update.

10.2. Console configuration – 'factory', 'passwd' and 

'rom' command

WARNING: care should be taken using this command, it is reserved to 

advanced users only as it can make your GW7001 inoperative.

Once connecte�� �n�� ��t�ent�c�te�� to � G�7001 ��� te�net, �t �� �o�����e to 

configure the system parameters as well as with HTTP configuration.

The firmware update is done with the ‘rom’ command, enter ‘help rom’ in the

For example to update the GW7001_VXXX.bin firmware from TFTP 

192.168.0.10 server it is necessary to enter:

10.3. Phone keys configuration – 'System' command

There is no phone key configuration possible for ‘System’ configuration.
