Setup and operating
instructions
Your Safety
Please observe the
following safety notes. The
manufacturer is not liable
for damages on the basis of failure to
observe these notes.
Only use the sun shade with suffi cient
ballasting (see Technical data).
In the event of incoming wind or a storm,
close the sun shade. Otherwise, a gust
could take hold of it and overturn it,
which may cause damage or result in the
product being damaged.
Never start an open fi re near or under
the sun shade. The shade may catch fi re
or be damaged by airborne sparks.
The sun shade is not a children's toy.
Children may catch their fi ngers.
Furthermore, the shade is very heavy
and could injure children if it tips over.
Do not hang anything on the cross-
beams of the sun shade or even use them
for chin-ups.
The sun shade is capable of protecting
your skin from direct UV radiation, but not
from refl ected UV rays. For this reason,
please also use cosmetic sunscreen.
In order to protect the sun shade from
excessive strain, close it in the event of
rain or snow and secure it with a tie
strap.
The cover is not suitable for machine
washing, dry cleaning or bleaching.
Intended use
The sun shade is suitable for providing
protection against direct UV radiation. It
is not conceived for providing protection
against rain or snow.
Setting up the shade
In order to provide the sun shade with
a secure position, the following shade
socket must be used: with model

1. Place the sun shade socket in the
desired location.
2. Release the locking mechanism

of
the bottom socket (see Figure
A
).
3. Allow the shade to slide 10 cm into
the bottom socket. Screw the locking
mechanism
a
tight by turning it
clockwise (see Figure
B
).
4. Insert the shade pole in the shade
socket and fi x it in place, see the
operating instructions for the shade
socket.
Opening the shade
Ensure that the shade has been
suffi ciently secured, that is, that the
shade socket has been suffi cient
ballasted (see “Technical Data”).
1. Gently open the shade with your
hand (see Figure

).

Angling the shade
You can tilt the shade in any direction.
Requirement: The shade has been
entirely opened.

Closing the shade
In the event of incoming wind, rain or
snow, you will have to close the sun
shade.
