Inspection, Maintenance and Adjustment
Check Level of Hydraulic Oil Tank
1.
Position the machine on firm, level ground. Lower boom
and position bucket on ground as shown in Figure 16.
2.
Set engine speed to "LOW IDLE".
3.
Check level gauge on the right access door. Oil level must
be between marks on sight gauge.
4.
If the level is below "L" mark add oil.
A.
Shut down engine.
B.
The hydraulic tank is pressurized. Lift the breather
cap slowly to allow the pressurized air to vent.
C.
Remove the upper cover of the hydraulic tank and
add oil.

WARNING
The hydraulic oil will be hot after normal machine
operation. Allow the system to cool before attempting to
service any of the hydraulic components.
The hydraulic tank is pressurized. Lift the breather cap
slowly to allow the pressurized air to vent. After the
pressure has been released, it is safe to remove either the
fill cap or service covers.

IMPORTANT
Do not fill above "H" mark on sight gauge. Overfilling
can result in damage to equipment and oil leaking
from hydraulic tank due to expansion.
