General Maintenance & Notes

DANGER:

Contact with ceiling fan blades can cause serious injury and/or death. When cleaning, make sure ceiling

fan is switched off.

Change Battery remote regularly. Batteries in remote control handsets should be replaced every 6 months.

Cleaning the Fan. To maintain performance, the blades and motor housing should be cleaned regularly to remove
the build-up of dust. Use a soft damp cloth only with soap and water to clean the fan. Avoid using harsh chemicals or
sprays. This should be cleaned every three to six months.

DO NOT leave remote controls outdoors, as the remote control may not operate properly due to moisture. This will not
be covered under Warranty.

Signals (ripple effect) through the mains, to signal off-peak devices by the electricity supplier may cause noise or
flickering of the light kit momentarily at certain times. This is not due to the fault of the ceiling fan or light kit and
cannot be covered under warranty.

Inaccessible locations. Our Warranty states that a fan must be installed in a location accessible for cleaning and general
maintenance by the end-user. If the ceiling fan is not accessible, that is, if the ceiling fan is installed above 3M, the
costs associated to service the fan with the hire of extension ladders and scaffolding must be borne by the customer
in the event of the service call. Domus reserves the right to refuse a Warranty obligation in this circumstance if it has
noticeably not been maintained.

Tightening of Screws Regularly. Threaded components such as blade screws may loosen during operation over a period
of time. These should be tightened regularly to ensure the ceiling fan does not develop noises. If noises do develop,
please check the screws on the ceiling fan when the fan is switched off to make sure the noise disappears. Please note
this won’t be covered under Warranty and service charges may apply if a service call is engaged.
