6.1
Mounting receiver
➤
Fix the receiver in place behind the instrument panel or in the glove compartment, e.g. using
a cable tie.
➤
Connect the receiver to the DAB connection on the main unit.
6.2
Mounting antenna
!
Observe the following mounting instructions:
•
Choose a mounting environment with ambient temperature and normal air humidity.
•
Mount the antenna in an upright position.
•
Maintain a distance of at least 50 mm to other antennas.
•
Do not mount the antenna on ceramic lines, heating filaments or AM/FM antennas in the glass.
•
Try not to mount the antenna more than once, as it may be damaged by doing so.
•
Do not use any glass cleaning agents or solvents immediately after attaching the antenna.
•
Route the antenna cable so that it does not impair vehicle operation.
•
Make use of existing holes and passages.
•
Do not roll up the antenna cable.
•
Make sure that the antenna cable or the antenna are not detached when you are cleaning or
maintaining the antenna.
•
Make sure that fluid is not sprayed onto the antenna branching area.

Choose a suitable position for the antenna (fig.
2
, page 3).

Remove any dirt or dust fro the window.
➤
Fasten the antenna temporarily into place on the window using adhesive tape.
➤
Route the antenna cable.
➤
Connect the antenna cable to the DAB+ receiver.
➤
Stick the antenna onto the window.
NOTE
•
Only install the device, if you already have some previous experience in fitting
car radios, if this is not the case, have the device installed by an expert instead.
•
The device should be installed behind the instrument panel or in the glove
compartment.
•
If a DAB window-integrated antenna is stuck onto a metallic dampened window
pane, then reception quality may be impaired.
WARNING!
Mount the antenna so that it does not impair the driver's field of view.
