The solar charger does not
work. The “Laden” LED
flashes once before the solar
charger switches to standby
mode (“Standby” LED is
flashing).
Over voltage protection. Solar
panel voltage (VoC) too high
(>28.0 V).
➤
Check the solar panel volt-
age (VoC). Reduce the num-
ber of connected solar
panels if necessary.
Unusually long charging
time. The “Laden” LED is
flashing quickly.
High temperature protection:
The solar charger switches to
reduced charging voltage
(12.75 – 13 V) when the tem-
perature of the battery
exceeds the cutoff value
(>50 °C).
The solar charger returns auto-
matically to full charging volt-
age when the temperature
drops to the restart value
(<48 °C).
Low temperature protection:
The solar charger switches to
reduced charging voltage
(12.75 – 13 V) when the tem-
perature of the battery drops
below the cutoff value (lead
batteries: <–30 °C, LiFePO4
batteries: <–20 °C).
The solar charger returns auto-
matically to full charging volt-
age when the temperature
exceeds to the restart value
(>22 °C).
Low battery voltage. The
“>80%” LED and “Bat-
terie/n voll” LED light up.
No connection from the solar
charger to the battery.
➤
Check the connections.
➤
Check the cable cross-sec-
tions, cable lengths and
fuses (chapter “Determine
the cable cross-sections and
fuses” on page 20).
➤
Check the stripped cable
ends.
➤
Check the voltages directly
at the terminals.
The “Schwach” LED lights
up.
(only MT 150 PP and
MT 230 PP)
Low voltage (<10.6 V) at the
house battery.
➤
Charge the house battery to
avoid under voltage.
All LEDs are flashing simulta-
neously.
The charging program is not
set correctly.
➤
Check the setting of the
charging program accord-
ing to the battery type used
(chapter “Setting the
charging program” on
page 22).
