Installing the solar monitor

6.1
Installation location
When selecting an installation location, consider the following:
• The mounting surface must be even and sufficiently hard.
• The device must be installed in a location that is protected from moisture and dust.
6.2
Connecting the solar monitor (fig.
I
1. Disconnect the charging cable of the solar charger (

) at the positive terminal of the house
battery.
2. Route the charging cable through the opening of the current sensor (
4
).
3. Reconnect the charging cable of the solar charger (
5
) to the positive terminal of the house
battery.
4. Insert the current sensor into the plug of the connection cable, see fig.
5. Connect the red supply cable of the connection cable (
2
) to the positive terminal of the house
battery.
6. Connect the blue supply cable of the connection cable (
3
) to the negative terminal of the
house battery.
7. Connect the connection cable (
1
) to the solar monitor.
6.3
Mounting the solar monitor with the wall-mounting box
A
1. Fix the wall-mounting box to the wall using the tapping screws ISO 7049.
2. Fix the front panel of the solar monitor to the wall-mounting box using the tapping screws
ISO 7050.
NOTE
• When using multiple solar chargers, route all positive wires of the solar chargers
through the current sensor to display the total power of all installed solar systems.
• Check the installation position of the current sensor after connecting the solar mon-
itor. The mounting position is correct when the displayed charging current value is
positive. If the displayed charging current value is negative, disconnect the solar
panels and the solar charger fuse, then flip the installation position of the current
sensor.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
Before drilling any holes, ensure that no electrical cables or other parts of the vehicle
can be damaged by drilling, sawing or filing.
