Cascading AES and Word Clock Input Signals
Cascading AES and word clock input signals are additional features of the Dolby
Lake Processor. A termination lift switch is provided next to the corresponding input
connectors.

Termination Lift Switch
For AES connections, the termination lift switch affects the termination state of AES
pairs 1 and 2 only (audio channels 1, 2, 3, and 4). When using this feature, ensure that
the last processor in the AES chain provides 110
Ω
termination.
Word clock can be cascaded by lifting termination and using a BNC T-connector, as
shown in Figure 7-4.
