Receive option
Selecting i-mode mails to receive
Check and select subjects of i-mode mails stored in the i-mode Center, and select mails to receive
or delete.
Receive option is required to be set to "ON" in advance.
When incoming i-mode mails
•
Receiving screen and Receive result screen may not be displayed depending on Display priority setting.
•
Setting "ON" for Receive option setting allows selective receiving of desired messages without automatically
receiving all messages.
•
When new i-mode mails arrive, other i-mode mails or MessageR/F stored in the i-mode Center are also
received.
•
When i-mode mails are received by FOMA terminal, i-mode mails stored in the i-mode Center are deleted.
•
When receiving mails from the terminals specifying To, Cc and Bcc, enable to confirm to which of To, Cc, Bcc
is applied. P256

Extremely large i-mode mail may be returned to the sender with error messages without being accepted in the
i-mode Center.
•
i-mode mail can be sent/received attaching melodies and still images. The i-mode Center will delete
unsupported attached files. If the attachment is deleted, a message "Delete attachment" is inserted to message
text.
•
When the data size (number of characters plus attached file size) of the received mail exceeds the number of
characters (data size) set to "Limit mail size" of Option settings, the attached file will be deleted in the i-mode
center and may not be received any more.
•
When Receive attachment is set to "Not receive", attachments are deleted in the i-mode Center. Deleted
attachment is not received again.
•
When two or more i-mode mails and MessageR/F are received at the same time, Ring tone/Vibrator/Incoming-
call lamp operate according to the settings for the mail received last.
•
While receiving SMS, i-mode mail cannot be received.
•
When i-mode mail cannot be automatically received, the messages are stored in the i-mode Center. Stored
mails are attempted up to 3 times to resend after a certain period of time.
•
When enough storage space is not available in Inbox, or exceeding the maximum allowable number of mails,
unprotected read mails are to be overwritten from chronologically oldest mail. Be sure to protect Received mails
to save. P265

When the storage space is full and unable to overwrite unread or protected mails, reception of i-mode mails is
stopped and is displayed.
•
When i-mode mails are left in the i-mode Center, is displayed. Note that there may be some conditions that
i-mode mails are not displayed. (ex : when turning the power off or out of service area) And the number of
stored mails becomes full in the i-mode center, (orange) is displayed.
•
When mails are failed to be received, receive mails again by Check new message or Receive option.
When receiving i-mode mails with setting Receive option to "ON", a
message indicates that mails are stored in the i-mode center.
•
Even if received mails, Ring tone or Vibrator does not operate.
•
Press
C
and return to Stand-by display or previous screen.
