Before Using the Handset
A miniUIM is an IC card that records personal
information, such as phone numbers.
You cannot make a call and use functions such
as packet communication etc. on the FOMA
terminal without inserting a miniUIM.
You cannot use miniUIM on the terminal that
does not support it, and part of sites, data, etc. in
use may become unavailable when you replace
the miniUIM with it.
In Japan, you cannot call to the emergency
number (110, 119 or 118) without inserting a
miniUIM.
The FOMA terminal does not support the UIM.
Change the UIM at a docomo Shop.
Before inserting or removing the miniUIM, turn
off the power, position the back facing upwards
and remove the battery pack. Hold the FOMA
terminal securely with your both hands.
