ADJUSTMENT OF THE TENSIONING PULLEY
We suggest leaving the adjustment to authorized assistance.
Pic: 14-1
The position of the tensioning pulley is pre-set from the factory. The position can be adjusted by means of
adjusting screws and nuts.
1. belt tensioning handle
2. tensioning screw of the band – tensioning is carried out with the supplied key
3. arm
4. band tensioning plate
5. adjusters for setting the correct position of the tensioning pulley
6. fixating screws
Slack in the tensioning pulley assembly (i.e. in bearings, between the base and the adjustable plate) will
allow deflection of the tensioning pulley – the pulley is not parallel to the driving pulley.
This is why the entire tensioning assembly is mounted on the saw arm with four adjusters.
It is necessary to perform the adjustment with the main microswitch in the OFF position and a slack saw-
band.
Before you start adjusting the position of the tensioning pulley, check that all screws, which might affect the
axial position of the driving and tensioning pulleys, have been tightened. Also inspect the condition of the
tensioning pulley bearings. Loose bearings may affect the position of the saw-band more than potential
looseness of the tensioning plate (Pos. 4), which is housed on the arm (Pos. 3) by means of adjusters (Pos.
5).
Loosen the adjuster fixation screws by one turn, move the adjusting screw of adjuster in by several tens of
degrees. Turn the adjusting screw of adjuster. If you turn clockwise, the flank of the saw-band will move
(after switching the semiautomatic cycle) towards the arm. If you turn anti-clockwise, the flank will move
away from the arm. Tighten all fixation screws. Turn on the main switch, tighten the band, set the band
speed to 1fps. and start the semiautomatic cycle. Be careful. If you overdo the adjustment, the band may fall
off the pulleys and break. Turn the cycle off after ten seconds and check the position of the band after
opening the door.
Repeat the entire procedure if necessary.
