12.1.2 First operations
When switching the machine on, the SAW3 automatically switchs on too, and it will ask if setting the zero point of the in-
dex. If you want to proceed with this operation, press the “I” button on the right of the control panel, if no, simply press the
button corresponding to the “NO” on the screen.
12.1.2 Making programs
Directory Key
The directory key let you enter in the programming section of the control. It will appear a screen like the following one:
In this screen the operator will find listed all the programs that have
been stored in the control memory (Alfa, beta, gamma in this exam-
ple).
The icons at the bottom of the screen allows general operations on
programs, and in particular:
To create a new program
To delete the highlithed program
To delete all programs
To go to the first program listed in the directory
To go to the last program listed in the directory
To find a program in the directory
When creating a new program, the screen will appear like the following one:
The upper section of this screen contains the general program
information, like name of the program, band speed, type of
material (if the material library enabled).
The central section indicates the row line, lenght and number of
pieces to cut.
The last section informs the operator about the required bar length
to execute the job (including band kerf), total cuts to do (50 in the
example) and done (0 in this example), and also gives some func-
tion keys to operate in the program:
