Paring Phones

Pairing Phones

Your phone must be paired with the BHK9000 before you can operate
your handsfree car kit. To pair your phone, follow the procedure below.

Warning: Never attempt to pair your phone while driving.

1.

Turn IGN to ‘ON’ and wait for the power up tone.

2.

Press and hold the

ANSWER

 and

VOLUME DOWN

 buttons

at the same time until you hear two quick beeps and the blue
LED’s begins to flash (the system is now ready to be paired).

3.

Be sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. Follow the
documentation provided with your phone to search for new
devices.

4.

Select the

 DNA BHK9000

from the list of Bluetooth devices on

your phone.

5.

Enter the passcode:

1234

6.

The LED will turn to solid blue when the phone is paired and
connected.

Note: Up to three phones can be paired with this car kit. You may follow
the same procedure above to pair a second or third phone. Pairing a
fourth phone will cause the first paired phone to be deleted.

Operation with Multiple Paired Phones

When the ignition is turned ‘ON’ the BHK9000 begins to search for
paired phones. Priority is given to the most recently connected phone.

Example: Phone A is paired and connected first, phone B is paired and
connected second and phone C third.
If all three phones are in range when the ignition is turned ‘ON’ phone
C will establish a priority connection with the BHK9000.

Note:

If phone C is turned off or if the person using it leaves the car and goes out of range
the connection will be broken. In order to establish another connection with one of
the remaining phones, press the answer/redial button once or restart the ignition. The
BHK9000 performs another search and establishes a connection with the most recently

connected phone, in this example phone B.
