Unit Functions
1. Ampli
fi
ed Full Range Speaker Outputs
A pairs of speakers can be connected. This will be an ampli
fi
ed speaker
output provided the Hi-Input (3.) wires have been connected.
2. RCA Inputs
Low level (subwoofer) RCA from the head unit. If your head unit does not
have Sub outputs use your normal RCA outouts.
3. Full Range Speaker Inputs
A pairs of speaker inputs from the headunit. The unit will amplify and output
through the output (1.)
4. Sub Gain (Volume) Adjustment
a.)
After you have installed your system, turn this control to a minimum.
b.) Turn the head unit on; the subwoofer will turn on via the remote
connection. Turn the head unit volume to about 66% full level.
c.)
Slowly turn up the subwoofer gain control unit, you will hear a small
amount of distortion. Then reduce the level until the distortion is
completely gone. Leave the control at this setting.
5. Cross Frequency Adjustment
This controls permits you to de
fi
ne the frequency range you want the
subwoofer to receive. The subwoofer will reproduce all sound below the
frequencey you set.
6. Phase
Use this switch to help compensate for time alignment problems in the
system. This is usally the case when the subwoofer is further away from the
listener. With the speakers being closer and heard
fi
rst by the listener.
