APPLICATION:
Switch your instrument into the hammer drilling mode (perforation); drill a hole with
the center drill in your instrument’s chuck, to a depth of minimum 30-40 mm, in the center
of the intended hole.
Remove the center drill from the chuck.
Be careful! The center drill can become very hot when operated. Do not touch it with
bare hands until it has cooled down.
Switch your instrument into the regular drilling mode (without perforation).
Attach the CACC (DDS-W) drill assembly with the drill adapter to your instrument’s
chuck. Insert the CACC (DDS-W) center drill inside the drill adapter (center drill will be held
in the adapter by a magnet). Always make sure there is no vibration, radial run-out, or ab-
normal noise during the idle run of the instrument. In the event of the said deviations, check
your instrument.
Pre-drill the hole with the CACC (DDS-W) drill to a depth of 5 mm, keeping to the
center of the intended hole previously market with the center drill.
Important! Pre-drilling and further drilling should performed in regular drilling mode
(without perforation)! Failure to do so may lead to drill destruction and is extremely dan-
gerous!
Important! Be sure to remove the center drill after pre-drilling! Failure to do so may
lead to destruction of or damage to the center drill, or the CACC (DDS-W) drill adapter!
Caution! Center drill and diamond cutter can become very hot during operation. Do
not touch them with bare hands until they have cooled down.
Avoid vibrations and shocks during diamond drill operation. The cutting feed should
smooth, without jerks. While drilling a slight tilt of the drill by 1 to 5 degrees from its vertical
axis should be applied for additional withdrawal of sludge from the drilling zone and prevent
jamming of the drill in the material being cut.
No impacts and sharp increases in drilling depth are allowed while the diamond
tool is running.
When drilling, avoid diamond tool shifting or jamming—this can lead to its destruc-
tion, and is extremely dangerous!
Excessive load during operation is prohibited, since it may reduce the drill’s cutting
ability or even destroy it, and is extremely dangerous!
Do not overheat the drill (copious sparks in the cutting zone with the discoloration
area, both on the diamond segments and on the drill bit will indicate that). Every 2 to 3 min-
utes of operation, remove the drill from the material being cut to cool for 20 to 30 seconds
of your equipment idle run.
