Configuration 

Enter the IP address in a browser.  You will be presented with the 
following Encoder Control Page: 

 
 

 

Encoder Control 

Encoder Control page will list all Hornet devices in your network along 
with their current status.  The Hornet that you logged in to is shown as 
the current device.   

The example above shows three Hornets, the first one is “this” Hornet 
and shows the Device Name as the default Serial Number.  It shows 
that it is now has a 1080p video input, and that it is streaming. 

Note that from “this” device, you can configure other device’s settings. 

 

Configure Encoder Settings 

In most cases, the encoder 
settings are automatically set 
by the Discover Video server 
(see Output Settings), and 
anything you set here will be 
changed by the server.  If not 
using the server, then you can 
make changes here. 

 

Video Scaling allows you to 
set the output stream 
resolution to be the same 
(“Passthrough”) or different 
than the input video 
resolution.
