Charging the battery pack in the appliance
The battery pack must be charged before
working with the appliance. To do this:
1.
Ensure that the appliance is switched off
(On/Off switch in the "0" position).
2.
Ensure that the battery pack is correctly
inserted,

3.
Insert the AC adapter into the charger
socket on the side of the appliance
(Fig. 13).
4.
Connect the AC adapter to a socket that
carries the same voltage as that specified
on the type plate of the AC adapter
(Fig. 14).
- The charge indicator light "
" flashes
green.
5.
Now charge the battery pack for approxi-
mately 4 hours until the charging indicator
light "
" lights up with constant green
light (Fig. 14).
6.
Once the charging indicator light "
"
lights up with constant green light, first dis-
connect the AC adapter cord from the
socket and then from the appliance.
WARNING:
Danger of injury due to incorrect charging!
Only use the AC adapter supplied with the
appliance to charge the battery pack.
NOTE:
Ensure that the appliance is switched off
(On/Off switch in the "0" position), before
you connect the AC adapter for charging. A
switched on appliance can also be charged,
however in this case you must switch it on
and off once before use. Otherwise the
appliance will not start up.

NOTE:
The appliance has a charge timer. A charge
cycle lasts approx. 4 hours. The charge
cycle will end automatically after 4 hours. If
you disconnect the appliance from the
mains supply, and then reconnect it to the
mains supply the charge cycle will start over
again. Thus, wait until the charge indicator
light ("
") lights up with constant green
light before disconnecting the appliance
from the mains supply. Complete charge
and discharge cycles ensure a longer ser-
vice life of the rechargeable battery.
NOTE:
Recharge the appliance, when the battery
indicator "
" on the appliance is continu-
ously illuminated red, or if you have not
used the appliance for a long time. Any
subsequent charging cycle will also take
approx. 4 hours.
