Filters
The cylinder vacuum cleaner has the following filters:
- Filter screen of separation unit (Fig. 21/1)
Thoroughly pre-cleans the air in the dust container.
Clean: every 2 months
- Protective motor filter (Fig. 20/1)
Is used to filter out the fine dust particles.
Clean: every 2 months
- Hygienic exhaust filter (Fig. 20/2)
Filters out the fine particles from the blown-out air.
Replace: every 6 months
The filters can become blocked after some time and can
thereby reduce the suction power. It is therefore important
that the abovementioned intervals are adhered to.
If you determine that a filter is damaged then replace it
immediately.
4.1 Clean filter screen
1.
Switch the appliance off and observe the instructions
under

Remove and empty the dust container,

Turn the separation unit anticlockwise off the dust
container (Fig. 21).

For a rough clean, hold the filter screen over a dustbin.
Then knock it gently.
5.
Place the separation unit back on the dust container so
that the markings are positioned above each other, as
shown (Fig. 23/1). Connect both parts by turning
clockwise until the markings are flush (Fig. 23/2).
6.
Take this opportunity to clean the protective motor filter
as well

. Otherwise, insert the dust container back into its
mounting bracket until it audibly clicks into place.

NOTE:
If the filter screen is extremely dirty, rinse it thoroughly
with a shower head (Fig. 22).
Then leave it to dry completely. Only re-insert it once it is
completely dry.
