Checking/replacing the
water filter cartridge
There is always a small quantity of lime in your domestic tap
water. For this reason we have installed a water filter car-
tridge which is designed to remove the lime particles before
the water passes through the appliance.
Check the water filter cartridge (Fig. 35) every time you
fill the water tank,
Z
Chapter 3, “Filling the water tank”
.
When first supplied, the filter medium on the inside of
the cartridge is a very light colour (Fig. 35/A). If, when you
check it, you discover that the filter medium on the inside of
the cartridge has significantly changed colour (Fig. 35/B)
compared to its condition on delivery or less steam is being
emitted, replace the cartridge as follows:
1.
Switch off the appliance, set it to the neutral position
and pull the plug from the socket,

3.
Check the colour of the cartridge. If the inside of the car-
tridge has changed colour considerably compared to its
condition on delivery (Fig. 35/B), the cartridge has to be
replaced.
4.
If the water filter cartridge has to be replaced, pull it firm-
ly upwards to remove it from the console (Fig. 36).
5.
Then replace the water filter cartridge with a new one
(article number:

).
6.
Firmly push the new cartridge into the console (Fig. 37).
