4 If you use detergents
4.2
Filling the detergent tank
Fill the detergent tank as follows if you wish to mix deter-
gent with the steam for cleaning the floor:
1.
Set the appliance to the neutral position by aligning the
shaft so that it is positioned approximately at a right an-
gle to the base, you can feel it click into place and the
appliance can stand up without support.
2.
Hold the appliance firmly by the shaft.
3.
Press both release catches for the detergent tank and
remove it from its console (Fig. 7).
4.
Twist the tank cap anti-clockwise as far as it will go to
remove it from the detergent tank.
5.
Carefully add 50 ml of undiluted detergent to the deter-
gent tank (Fig. 8).
6.
Then top up to the "
MAX H
2
O
" mark with clear, cold tap
water (Fig. 9).
7.
Screw the tank cap all the way back on the detergent
tank.
8.
Firmly push the detergent tank back into the console
(Fig. 7).
WARNING:
Health hazard for your children! Always make sure you
store the detergent in a place which is inaccessible to
children, particularly after filling the detergent tank and
before steam cleaning.
NOTE:
If you do not have any detergent, simply leave the deter-
gent tank empty.

Please comply with the instructions for use on the deter-
gent packaging. If you have any questions, contact a
specialist dealer or the detergent manufacturer.
