Remote-Starting your Vehicle (only with 

remote starter) 

Remote-Starting 

Press the   button for approximately 1 second. The remote will beep once to inform you that the 

vehicle has received your signal. Approximately 5 seconds later, the engine will start. The remote 

will confirm the remote starter’s activation by beeping 3 times. 

 

If your vehicle does not start at the first attempt, the system will shut down, wait a few seconds and 

try to start the engine again. 

Driving Off 

With the vehicle running under remote control, press the    button to disarm and unlock the 

doors. Enter the vehicle and do the following: 

 

Turn the ignition key to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position. (Do not turn the key to the CRANK 

position while the engine is running.) 

 

Press the brake pedal to disengage the remote starter unit. 

You are now ready to drive off. 

Remote System Features 

Remote Door Locks 

To LOCK your doors: 

1.

 

Press and hold the   button for approx. 1 sec. 

2.

 

The remote will beep once to confirm locking of the doors and, if OEM available, arming 

the alarm. 

To UNLOCK your doors: 

1.

 

Press and hold the   button for approx. 1 sec. 

2.

 

The remote will beep twice to confirm unlocking of the doors  and, if OEM available, 

disarming the alarm. 

Remote Trunk Release 

If your vehicle  has the Remote Trunk Release option, you can open  the  trunk by pressing 
the   button until the remote beeps once. 

Idle Mode (only with remote starter) 

Convenience feature (compatible bypass module only):  Idle Mode allows you to keep the 

engine running and the doors locked while you stop, for example, at a convenience store or for a 

short delivery. 
This feature allows you to let the remote starter take over control of the vehicle (i.e. no Key in the 

Ignition Switch) while the engine is running.
