Product Description 

Panacea Lap Cushion
The soft top cushion fits snuggly between the resident and the wheelchair frame 
to facilitate upper body positioning. The lap cushion provides a comfortable elbow 
rest and soft work or eating area. The lap cushion also reminds the resident to ask 
for assistance before attempting to ambulate.

Directions For Use 

1.  Lock wheelchair brakes and rotate footrests outward, to the side of the wheelchair

2.  Assist resident into the wheelchair and set him/her as far back on the seat  

as possible

3.  Position the footrests to a comfortable position for the resident to place their feet 

on them

4.  Slide Lap Cushion under the armrest support bars providing sturdy support.
Note: The cutout area for the abdomen should be towards the resident providing 
comfortable space for the resident.

5. Make sure the resident can remove the Lap Cushion themselves

 nOTE: Do not remove product tag, cleaning instruction tag or law tag from the 

lap cushion. Removal of tags will void the warranty. 

 

WarnIng: This device will not prevent falls. This device will not replace good 

care-giving practices including, but not limited to:

•  Direct resident supervision
•   Adequate care plans and training for staff personnel regarding resident diet, 

hydration, cleanliness, range of motion, entrapment, fall prevention, and 
repositioning

•  Inspection and testing before use
