Removal of the sling when the patient is sitting
Fold the leg support under itself and pull it out at the outside of the thigh.
Then, pull the sling up behind the patient’s back.
Pull the pants up as far as possible towards the groin. Place the leg support between the hollow of the knee
and waistband. Raise the patient and pull up the pants. Do not lift higher than necessary.
If a diaper is used, place it inside the pants before pulling them up.
After toileting
For toileting
Before the patient is lowered to the toilet, pull the pants down as far as possible to the leg supports.
Lower the patient and disconnect the leg supports. Pull the pants down farther. The vest section can be left
on to provide support.
