To install the corn head drive chain (item 16), use the provided #80 X 35” lg with a single #80 connecting link.
OR
To install the windrow pickup drive chain (item 17), use the provided #80 X 35” lg with a #80 half link plus one
#80 connecting link provided.
NOTE: All parts required to install the header on the harvester are located in the toolbox.

Lift or lower the header lift arms in operation position (item 15, Figure 56). Install the chain by routing it under
the tensioner (item 18). Move the header sprocket (item 21) on the shaft to align it with the harvester driving
sprocket if necessary. Adjust the chain tension (6 mm (1/4in of deflection for 7 kg (15lb) force). Tighten the
tensioner in place.
NOTE: Always lower the header when the harvester is not in used or for storage.
HEADER SUSPENSION
The suspension springs (item 1) function is to control the header ground pressure. In general, the tension
must be set to obtain a weight of about 35 kg (75 lb) at the front. Adjust the springs by tightening the rods
(item 2) with the provided handle (item 3). The spring adjustment varies from one header to the other.
NOTE: A 15/16” socket can also be used for a faster adjustment.
