Es gibt für Tremolos dieses Typs mehrere Einstell-
möglichkeiten:
•
Aufliegendes Tremolo ist die Standartkonfiguration
und die am leichtesten einzustellende. Der
Tremoloblock wird so befestigt, dass er unbenutzt
vollständig auf der Aussparung im Korpus aufliegt.
Bei Benutzung wird die Tonhöhe nur nach unten
verändert.
•
Freischwebendes Tremolo erreicht man, wenn man
die Zugkraft der Tremolofedern so einstellt, dass
der Tremoloblock durch die Saitenspannung leicht
angehoben wird. Nun kann mit dem Tremolohebel
die Tonhöhe sowohl nach oben, als auch nach
unten verändert werden. Allerdings kann es zu
Problemen bei der Stimmstabilität führen.
•
Bei einem geblockten Tremolo wird das Tremolo
vollständig funktionsunfähig gemacht, indem man
den ausgefrästen Raum zwischen Korpus und
Sustainblock mit Holz oder anderem Material füllt
und die Bewegung des Tremolos damit blockiert.
Dies führt zu leicht verbesserter Stimmstabilität und
anderem Schwingungsverhalten der Saiten, wodurch
das Sustain verlängert wird.

There are a few possible setups for this kind of
tremolo/bridge system: fixed, floating and blocked
tremolo.
•
Fixed bridge/tremolo: This is the easiest setup.
The bridge is set to lay flat on the body in the
milling groove, touching the wood. This way, the
pitch can only be altered in one direction, in this
case down.
•
Foating bridge/tremolo: To bring the tremolo
system to a floating position, the coil springs have
to be set up so that the tension between the strings
and the springs keeps the bridge floating, not
touching the guitar body. This setup allows altering
the pitch both up and down with the tremolo bar.
But it also can cause problems with the tuning
stability.
•
Blocked-off tremolo: The tremolo system can be
blocked-off by filling the void between tremolo
block and body with wood or another material, so
the movement of the tremolo is blocked. This
changes and slightly improves sustain and tuning
stability of the guitar.
