Browse to locate and select the newly supplied DS8R firmware source file, which will have 
the file format  *.dpgkg.

Click “Update” and the firmware update process will proceed, taking approximately 6 
minutes to complete.  Do not power off the device during this time.

Once complete, turn the DS8R OFF and back ON again.

You can then run the new DS8R virtual front panel software, using the desktop shortcut icon 
or by directly running the executable file directly.  By default the program is located at:- 
 
C:\Program Files\Digitimer Limited\DS8R Research Stimulator\DS8R.exe

Verify that the new software is able to read and adjust the newly updated DS8R’s settings. 

 

DS8R API Programmer’s References 

 

The DS8R virtual front panel software also provides an API which is designed to allow third party 
programs to access the DS8R and control the stimulator settings.  During installation of the DS8R
