SYSTEM MANUAL Issue 1.0 5 DEC 2009
CLEANING TRAY 4X50-CLEAN (ORDERED SEPARATELY)
NOTE:
Ingested air or severe nozzle clogs may be eliminated with the
use of the cleaning syringe/tray ordered optionally.
The photo below shows the correct procedure in using the syringe and cleaning
tray. Place the tip of the syringe (optional pump) into the front of the tray’s luer
lock connector. Place the ink cartridge onto the tray and apply a downward
pressure ensuring that the cartridge is securely pressed against the rubber
gasket in the tray. While holding the cartridge securely in place gently apply
pressure to the syringe plunger until ink flows from the nozzle area. NOTE: Never
draw back on the syringe, as this will ingest air into the cartridge causing a loss
of prime. Repeat this procedure several times while watching the ink flow.
Between each cycle gently remove the standing ink on the nozzle area with a lint
free wipe. Following ink evacuation remove the cartridge from the tray. Remove
any remaining ink from the nozzle face with a lint free wipe. Replace the cartridge
into the printer. Place a piece of clean white paper directly in front of the print
head and perform a purge function by pressing and releasing the purge key
.
The key is activated on the release of the key. Swipe the paper quickly past the
print head to expand the purge pattern so the individual droplets may be viewed.
Perform a test print and verify that all nozzles are firing correctly.
NOTE: An optional air pump 4x50-PUMP may be purchased separately for
easier operation.
