ENTERING A MIXED RASTER PREFIX
Entering a mixed raster message requires a two-
step process. The simplest approach is to first
create the prefix.
If the printer is in the PRINTING mode press the
stop print key
. The LCD should be as pictured
on the left.
Press the
S1
key on the keyboard, which enters
the PREFIX ENTRY mode. At this point message
entry is identical to the normal MESSAGE ENTRY
mode.
The lower half of the LCD may or may not contain
data. If data is present press the
F3
key or use the
delete key
to clear the current data.
Press the font key
to select either a 1-line or
2-line prefix and enter the desired data.
Remember that the data may be any legal data
entry as available in the normal MESSAGE
ENTRY mode.
Following font size selection enter the desired
message. In the pictorial at the left the message
prefix $12 was entered. Remember the special
symbols are found by pressing the
S1
key.
Press the enter key
to return to the STOPPED
mode.
The next step in mixed raster messages is to enter
the remainder of the message.
Press the message entry key
to enter the
MESSAGE ENTRY mode.
Press the
F3
key or use the delete key
to clear
the current data. And use the font key
to
select the font size required for the rest of the
message.
Enter the 2 lines of data required for the
message.
