Connecting a Slave (Spot-Out) Monitor - Appendix #3
Connecting a Slave (Spot-Out) Monitor - Appendix #3
Connections to a Slave Monitor and/or Spot-Out Monitor (not included with the System) can be
made through the SPOT OUT, MONITOR OUT, LOOP OUT (4 CH ONLY) and VGA (4 CH
ONLY) ports on the back of the DVR.
A slave monitor can be a TV or Computer Monitor (with VGA connections), and is used as a View
Only device. A Slave Monitor can only display data as it is sent from the DVR (based on settings
in the Spot Out Menu options):
•
MONITOR OUT
- Displays exactly what is shown from the DVR (Camera View, Menus, etc.)
to a TV or VCR.
• SPOT OUT
- Displays Cameras in Sequence mode, regardless of the display on the DVR
(i.e Camera Views, Menus, Playback, etc.) to a TV or VCR.
• LOOP OUT (4 CH ONLY)
- Displays the video output from a single Camera to a TV or VCR.
•
VGA OUT (4 CH ONLY)
- Displays exactly what is shown from the DVR (Camera View,
Menus, etc.) to a Computer Monitor.
