USING THE PARKING BRAKES
Brakes on Levina 320-2
The Levina 320-2 is outfitted with four 5-inch
swivel wheels. The two rear ones are equipped
with total locks. When the respective total lock is
engaged, the swivel wheel is braked and also
prevented from rotating. To ensure a firm foot
-
ing, always engage both total locks.
1.
Actuate the total lock mechanism by stepping
on the locking rocker of both rear wheels. (1,
Fig. 10)
2.
To release the total lock, step on the small
rocker lever (2, Fig. 10).
Brakes on Levina 400-2
The shower commode chair has one parking
brake on either side. They can be used to park the
shower commode chair safety. They are not suit
-
able for braking while in motion! For this pur
-
pose, the push rims are to be used. To brake, use
your palms to apply light pressure. (see chapter
„Levina 400-2 propelling and slowing down“).
1.
Push both brake levers forwards (1) until they
snap perceptibly into place and the brake
pads (2) lock the wheels into place (Fig. 11).
2.
To release the parking brakes: Pull the brake
levers back towards the rear.
WARNING
Risk of injury:
Do not use the parking brakes to stop the shower commode chair during motion, as
this may cause the wheels to lock.
If a brake is damaged, discontinue use of the shower commode chair immediately.
