4.6 Locking brake
The locking brake allows the user to securely
park the wheelchair.
Activate the locking brake when stationary. (1)
Push the lever forwards into a horizontal posi-
tion until it holds independently. (2)
The wheelchair is now stable; you can transfer
to another chair or park it. Release the locking
brake by pulling back the lever.
NOTE
When the locking brake is
activated, the braking force is
distributed evenly on both of the
rear wheels.

CAUTION
Never use the locking brake to
stop the wheelchair when it is in
use – always use your hands on
the push rims to slow down. The
locking brake is only intended
for parking.
